Sylviepouetpouet's adorable little black cat is in another bind in the escape game Mimou Escape 2, when it's accidentally tossed into a washing machine along with a load of laundry. Don't worry, it's not turned on... yet. It sounds like something some good old fashioned yowling might fix, but our Mimou has other plans... which is a good thing since this washing machine has some odd secrets and puzzles inside it that I'm fairly certain aren't standard features. Luckily, the people who live here are terrible about cleaning out their pockets, and if you're resourceful and don't mind getting a little wet, escape is within your reach.
Just click to interact, using the bars at the edges of the screen to change your viewpoints, and clicking the big pink arrows when they appear will cause Mimou to scrabble and rotate the machine's barrel, potentially allowing access to new things. You can also combine items in your inventory by double-clicking to view something up close, and then highlighting whatever item you want to use and clicking the item you're viewing. Like Mimou Escape, this sequel is on the short side, heavy more on kitty MacGuyvering than the logical brainy puzzles some might prefer. Sylviepouetpouet's animation shines with personality and charm, however, and though it won't take you long or challenge much provided you remember to look at things from different angles, Mimou Escape 2 is an absolute pleasure to play.
Thanks to Nicosite for sending this one in!
Ha! Beat it.
...I never found the hint for the middle dial, but it wasn't hard to brute-force since I knew the other two.
SonicLover
I didn't find the middle dial clue either! Maybe you are supposed to "brute-force" it?
Aww, poor cat. Such a traumatic experience! lol
This one was a lot easier than the first one, I thought. I still really enjoyed it. :)
For some reason I'm having trouble...
I have a piece of string from a sock. I've seen out the top hatch, and opened the bottom hatch with the code (I also brute-forced the middle one).
Now I'm stuck. I swear I've clicked everywhere clickable.
Ugh nevermind:
I guess I just wasn't careful enough about checking all the pockets in the laundry :)
What happened to Mobile Monday?
I can't write a full walkthrough because of all the twists and turns the washing machine has to make to find them but here are two big hints:
The Process:
After you click around and find the items, you have to look for square compartments in the washing machine tub.
To find them, rotate once, then face front, then click upwards. If there is no compartment. Go back down, rotate again, face front and look up again.
The meters:
The hand position of the meters is revealed in various places. One location is at the back of the tub, if you are in the right rotation.
If you want to know the answer to the meter hands positions,
they are at 11 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 3 o'clock.
i'm stuck...
I have the... what is this? Red and black can opener? what can i do with it?
How to exit
After the kitty gets the can opener from one of the compartments, turn to the back of the washing machine and use the can opener on the back of the washing machine tub.
YES.
FYI:
MIMOU is very close to MINOU, which means 'cute cat' in Quebec (not France).
Sylvie is a girl's name.
POUET POUET means to fart, or to make that funny sound with your armpits (still in Quebec french, not France).
"The more you know!"
hope a walkthrough is in the works :)
Very cute game!
Does anyone know the name of background song?
no one has a walkthrough yet?
That was cute :)
Here's a hint-through.
Navigation
The cursor makes this a lot easier, changing to a hand whenever there is something 'clickable'. Search the washer thoroughly. You should find four items, two clues, and two passages, from a cursory search without solving any puzzles.
Stuck?
The washer rotates, changing the scenery for the top, bottom (clothing), and side views.
Don't know what to do with inventory items 1-3
Boxes 1 and 3 need some work before you can use them for their final purpose. The sock is easy.
The...fork?
You need to fail an escape attempt with the fork
Puzzle 1: What time is it?
The clues for the first and third dials are provided in two separate locations. As far as I can tell, you just guess at the second dial until you find the right position.
Puzzle 2: Ricochet
Don't be nervous about shooting the wrong item. Your ammo will be returned to you until you get it right.
Puzzle 3: There isn't a can of cat food in here.
Stuck with a can opener? There is one 'clickable' place left in the washer that hasn't responded yet.
Aren't you glad that grandma didn't check the pockets before she threw the laundry in?
i'm still confused. :(
@paul what do you need help with?
Ah! That was fun, but boy did I have trouble finding the can opener. LOL #3 really does need some extra work before it works.
Very cute nightmare fuel. I love the animations!
Cute and challenging
very original concept!! the specific conditions to do things are that hard to figure out but still feel rewarding when you do
OMG that was SO cute!!
