Indie developers SparklinLabs have given us a glimpse into the future. The year is 3015 and technology has saved the world from ever leaving home. This is the story of what happens when something goes wrong.
The Distritube means we can simply sit in front of our screens and have entertainment and satisfaction come right to us. (More than it does now I mean.)
Dowie is ready to sit down in his comfortable chair for the evening when that vital bit of technology goes on the blink. All his plans for a cozy evening shot, he has to leave his apartment (gasp) and go find the janitor.
The story is told with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Yes, there was a murder, and it's making it that much harder to fix the Distritube.
The bright splashy animation goes well with the futuristic feel and the surreal atmosphere. The characters are quirky to say the least, each one having his own personal eccentricity.
Be warned, the humor and the language are a bit rough. If you don't mind that the main character swears like a grumpy old man and think you can get a laugh out of someone having to
lube up a mammoth then this is straight up your alley.
