The King's League (mobile)
It's been years since the king has sat on the throne of Kurestal Kingdom. His heirs are no longer living, though, so to find the next leader, the king has issued a challenge. Whoever wins The King's League will challenge the king himself and emerge with a shiny new throne to call their own! The mobile version of the 2011 browser game works quite well on touch screen devices, and it still provides serious challenge while looking just as cute as a button!
The King's League is a strategy game at heart, challenging you to recruit and train heroes from across the kingdom to capture territory and complete quests. You'll spend most of your time managing your troops and training them to better their skills, from soldiers buffing up at the gym to archers learning to play chess. You have a limited number of days between matches as well as limited funds, so you have to manage your people carefully or wind up broke and weak, ready to lose the fight in an epic sort of way!
Battles play out on their own, allowing you to sit back and watch the fruits of your strategic troop management skills. Bet you're glad you watched that YouTube video about being a good team leader! Soldiers also have to be fed and paid each month, so you have to keep a sharp eye on your cash and not spend it all on training. All in all, it works out to be a fantastic and surprisingly cerebral experience, one that performs exceptionally well on portable devices.

Hmmm. This is fun. Kinda feels like Battleheart meets Duck Life.
So far a fairly winning strategy seems to be:
get the best archer first and immediately do all the 1 and 2 star quests and conquests, as they come up (hold out on the 3 stars).
Save up for the first unique character (the knight), followed asap by a good priest, at which point you should be able to handle the 3 star stuff. Then just pick up the uniques as they come. I got a sniper first, who replaced the archer, and then a witch, who I used to replace the sniper.
I kept the priest in my party until I got a unique priest - annoyingly the last unique character that showed up.
This works pretty well, but I still lost the last two fights of the first tournament. The second tournament was a cakewalk, though - as was the king, when I got to him.
Anyone find a strategy that gives a perfect win record?
I did come across a random bug, though.
the first time I played through, I lost the first tournament, and then a 5 star conquest fight immediately afterwards. I reloaded to try the 5 star conquest again, and the tournament scores had all reset to 0, and the game told me I'd won the tournament. I could then just spam the king fight until I had all my characters to level 5, at which point butts were kicked.
I didn't really look at reproducing it, so I dunno what triggered it exactly. It was a great chance to play with different combos, though.
