Please be advised there are themes in this game some people find upsetting.
I'm not sure I've heard of a more depressing game title than We Are All Going to Die. (Perhaps When the Bomb Goes Off?) But the premise isn't as depressing. You find on your spaceship someone has set a self-destruct to go off in one minute. One minute doesn't seem like a lot of time to explore this puzzle experimental game by Brwarner Studio, but due to [insert scifi space-y science talk here] you're trapped in a time loop. Ship blows up, you wake up in your bed. The timer doesn't start till you get out of the covers. Apparently you're the only one that can still retain the knowledge from the previous time, so it is up to you to find if you can save your crew. To do that you need to explore the ship (moving with the [WASD] keys only), find items that pick up as soon as you walk over them, and eavesdrop onto conversations your crew is having nearby. You'll have plenty of redos of the sixty seconds to solve this enigma. And an infinity of the same minute, if you can't.
Even with the round, cute shape of the people it's dealing with pretty heavy stuff, and not everyone takes it well, as the self destruct is pretty evident of that. Though not all conversations are helpful to your quest, they are interesting to read and see the inner thoughts of the crew, or at least what they are willing to share with one another. It is a lot like Moonkid in that way, though you have less time to do it, and you can actually prevent the oncoming death. The solution isn't particularly straightforward, but using classic adventure game logic, you'll probably figure it out. There are only two items you have to use the [Q] or [E] keys for. One is a quick reset to start everything over, and the other, well I won't spoil that. Other than those, items are used when you have them and when you walk into the thing you want to use it on. There isn't a whole lot of items to find but this is not a game you can do on the first shot. So use that time loop and spread your sixty seconds to last you as long as you need to spare everyone on board.
Well, so far I have managed to
find both passwords to unlock the two locked doors. I have also found the room to use the gun.
Yet I still do not know what to do from here on out.
Walkthrough!
Try to find a Crowbar. You can find it in every box (one in the Engine bay and another 3 in Newclear Weapons Bay)
10 seconds before the explosi0n go to Airlock B and jump out. Outside the ship you will bump with the Commander and get a code for the Hyperdrive Bay. Try to remember it because it dissapears after the explosion
code is TYR
Go to Medical Bay and listen to the conversation of Jyoti She says she has a gun in her room. Wait for her to end the conversation and go after her. Righ before the explosion she tries to open her room : J .. Y .. That should be pretty obvious what is the code.
Code is Jyoti
Now that you have every code enter Jyoti's room and get the gun. Go im Mess Hall and shoot Azael ( The girl with green clothes) Get the Stabiliser and rush back to engine room. Unclock Hyperdrive Bay and finish the game
Basically the storyline goes if i think its correct :
You want to blow up the second bomb with everyone on the ship.
After Azael does not drop the first bomb, Bohla does, but no one is prepared for the consequences. Explosion kills millions( probably) And everyone are depressed.
You hack the terminal but Azael figures someone hacked it so she plants on using the explosion to reverse time back before the bomb was dropped, but instead it locks you in a time loop( If you ask me it does that to everyone seperating them in different univerces where they are the only one who know whats going on)
Picard - "All hands abandon ship! All hands..."(BOOM!)
Yeah I remember that episode.
Reminds me a bit of Terra Coda
Wow, that was mean-spirited.
I had to check the walkthrough to figure out what to do, because it never would have occurred to me that I was actually supposed to kill Azael.
I feel like this is one of those games like The Swapper or Spec Ops: The Line where the only winning move is not to play.
Extremely annoying. Why insist on WASD and why can't I use arrow keys instead? And the siren alone made me quit after a couple of "minutes".
