Hi! Weekday Escape and Weekday Puzzle are here!
This week we have just three escape, all by Selfdefiant. Two state escapes are followed by his another escape, a bit longer.
Then we have three puzzle games - all three are rather relaxing - well at least at the beginning - with minimalist design, clean graphics and pleasant soundtrack. Gamungu delivered clever game with bouncing balls, and by ThetaTauTau (Olivier Guillaume) we have two games, about sheep and splitting atoms.
Have a good time and enjoy!
In Selfdefant's state escapes you need to bribe the taxi driver with a bucket of ice cream in Utah, and then in Vermont get a maple syrup and change it for a ride. You have to buy both so your main target is to get a couple of notes.
The cursor isn't changing, autosave, one ending.
Escape Enemy Base
You find yourself at the abandoned enemy base and your only wish is to leave it as soon as possible, preferably before someone finds you here. You need to figure out several codes to open all doors, explore the base, do some small repairs and run!
The cursor isn't changing, autosave, one ending.
Bounce & Block
Simple puzzle game by Gamungu let you play with the law of reflexion. In each level you need to drag squares to bounce the balls fired from the turret to the direction of the double circe and hit it - the level is clear then.
Controlled by a mouse. 24 levels.
A Missing Shepherd
In the puzzler by ThetaTauTau (Olivier Guillaume) you represent a missing shepherd. The sheep you are in charge of are hungry and their pastures are small labyrinths with straw bales in their way, so you need to navigate them to get to the patches of yummy grass and fill their stomachs. Lovely soundtrack by Vindsvept.
Controlled by WASD/Arrow keys, R to restart level, Backspace to undo, 30 levels.
Quantum Splitter
In minimalist puzzle game by ThetaTauTau (Olivier Guillaume) you split atoms and trigger chain reactions. It's a calming game with soothing soundtrack and clean design, and the difficulty grows slowly - perfect relax.
Controlled by a mouse. 40 levels.
We love escape games, and our readers love talking about them and sharing hints! How about you? Let us know what you think, ask for clues, or help out other players in the comments below.
Something is really wrong with Escape Enemy Base…
You can find the three colored wires and escape way long before you've explored all the puzzles. I never got to use the computer, and there's another room/node in the wide series of rooms that I never even visited!
There's also some flakiness with the keypads—one of them registered a six when I knew I was nowhere close to that number. SelfDefiant must be slipping—they were leaving unused puzzles in the Hooda Math games not too long ago. 😑
It looks like a remake of an older one, Sneaky Compound Escape. In that one, you did have to use some of the other equipment.
quantum splitter works for a split second before the visuals are blocked with the message "host is not allowed to use this application" and then suggests buying a license or contacting the sit admin. i can still hear the game music
i'm on a mac, ios 12.4, and i tried on firefox and chrome and got the same message :?
on the other hand a missing shepherd was a fun little game! i might come back to it to get past the level i got stuck on
i love it when puzzle games display such new and interesting pieces to work with and then layer the complexity of that single piece as you go. rather, the rules don't change and the piece stays simple, but how you use it becomes complex :)
Same issue here with Quantum Splitter. Looks like the developer really doesn't want anyone hosting the game without his permission. 🙄
But thankfully, he has provided a link to the original Ludum Dare version, and it seems to work just fine.
good looks, jf!
