Hi! Weekday Escape is here!
We start with Ghost Clown's escape from a dungeon and notice, that this game why WE is rated orange, following escapes are as peaceful as possible. Simple escape from Harusame takes only few minutes but it's a pleasant little game, and Cabeza/ Primera has made available another of their escapes from holiday destinations. TomoLaSiDo delivered a nice escape from two-room apartment and the last comes good escape by Tatsuyama - we've already played two games from these developers and they didn't disappoint this time either, quite the opposite.
No puzzle games in this WE. Weekday Puzzle will be posted tomorrow.
Have a good time and enjoy!
Dippy's Dungeon
Notice, that this game is the reason In a short escape adventure by Ghost Clown you go in search of your friends who got into an unfinished amusement park without you and didn't come back. First you need to get to the park and solve a few puzzles. Eventually you'll find your friends - good thing you didn't go with them!
The cursor isn't changing, autosave, one ending.
Simple Escape
Small game from Harusame at first glance reminds the first games from Neutral, but the puzzles are much simpler and the game is shorter. Never mind. It's an enjoyable escape game - just one thing, I think there's a small inaccuracy in the game's indication of the cardinal points.
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
Escape in Phuket
This game is the only one escape by Cabeza that has been published on JIG (here) and it's been almost exactly ten years. Now we've got its remake by Cabeza/ Primera and it hasn't changed a bit. It's a simple game. You are locked inside an apartment in Phuket - frankly, it could be any place on Earth - and you need to escape it to enjoy your vacations. Can you?
The cursor is changing, autosave, one ending.
Escape Challenge 175 - Room with Autumn Eggplants
This week we've got a nice one from tomoLaSiDo - no language barrier, solid and intuitive puzzles and two rooms to explore. You can pick up only one eggplant and then you decide whether to walk away with it or use it to solve the bonus puzzle and leave with something different.
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending. [Edit: Two endings, it's (kind of) in the description but viz. jF's comment :-)]
Escape from an Astronomical Observatory
The latest escape byTatsuyama is great - it has good inuitive puzzles and is longer that their previous games (the links you find below). Also, the theme is great - an astronomical observatory is an interesting place and certainly more attractive than an office or so.
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending. [Edit: two endings, viz. comments, thanks Kernowman]
Previous games by Tatsuyama you find in WE N°335 and WE N°344.
We love escape games, and our readers love talking about them and sharing hints! How about you? Let us know what you think, ask for clues, or help out other players in the comments below.
Escape from an Astronomical Observatory - there are 2 endings. When you get to the 'Normal' ending, there is an option to continue. This takes you back to the end of the game where you can play the second 'True' ending.
Thanks!
I think Ghost Clown needs to learn a bit more about Unity before they attempt another escape game. I found myself flipping from fullscreen mode and back and zooming in and out to be able to see the entire game frame—not a pleasant way to play an escape game.
If you played it yesterday, you might have missed out on an update. The developer fixed an issue with the final puzzle, according to their notes. The issue should be resolved if you play it now.
If you're having trouble seeing the "Tom yum goong" clue in Escape In Phuket:
The numbers are 70490.
That was really hard to see on my monitor.
I was a bit sad when I started Escape From An Astronomical Observatory—from the art style, I thought this was another game from Masa, perhaps a sequel to their awesome Space Museum Escape. Tatsuyama's game was enjoyable, but I must say, I really am looking forward to the next Masa game to hit—those are always incredible.
Hey chrpa, think we could revise the info on Escape Challenge 175 - Room With Autumn Eggplants to reflect two endings? Even though the change of item is the only difference, I'd argue that the endings are unique (and worth pursuing just for one fun little animation involved). 🙂
