Neither rain nor snow nor really enormous vampire bat will keep William the Conqueror from rescuing the princess in this simple incremental game that plays a bit more like an "endless runner" arcade game, only with lots and lots of stabbing. And upgrades! William will move and automatically attack enemies as he walks, and all you have to do is spend the cash he earns from his slaying on upgrading his skills and abilities. Chances are he's going to need some help, however, so you'll also have to click on the screen to increase his damage, or on his fireball and freeze spells to use them. Make sure to check the Achievements tab to claim your rewards when you reach various milestones! If William is slain, well, it's right back to the beginning to keep on ploddin', but things will move much faster once you've upgraded several skills a few times. While William the Conqueror plays by itself, it does so very slowly, and the need to manually respawn means you can't just let the game run to rack up coin unattended, though the expense of upgrades tends to be balanced by increasingly higher bonuses. Coupled with its relatively simple, grind-y nature, that means it won't necessarily be for everyone, but once it gets rolling, the enemies, upgrades, and bright cartoon style makes this a solid little diversion to let you save the kingdom without lifting a finger. ... well, just the one, I guess.
The constant need to click to keep damage as high as possible pretty much ruins this game.
It needs an autoclick bar too.
For what you pay, the damage you give is laughable.
300 is the no-clicking cap.
If you click on top of that you can have another maximum of 350.
That SHOULD 1-shot everything except the big stone trolls in armour. It should 2-shot those.
The max "regeneration" and specials refresh rates are totally laughable. Those should be refilling in literally seconds.
Ditto the attack rate. Maxed you should really be hitting people once a second if not faster.
If you max everything, the game is fairly easily completed with all achievements. I just think you should get more damage for what you are paying out.
How far back you go on respawns isn't exactly obvious either.
What a terribly designed game. I was hoping for so much better, since it looked nice. The constant clicking feature is a terrible idea (what were they thinking?), and you only get the "Visit our sponsor's site" achievement if you click "More Games," but not if you click the giant Bigdino logo in the top corner.
The design flaw here is that with other constant-click games you get more pieces of candy or cookie vortexes or whatever but it keeps /increasing. You really don't have to do much here; half-pay attention and die a lot and rack up mad gold, max everything out, and clickityclickityclickity your way through 50.
Why did you turn off the auto-respawn?????
I'm not sure what you mean. We didn't turn anything off. We don't touch or tinker with games. We only upload the files we are given, as they are presented to us.
??? Yesterday, this game automatically respawned when you died. Then again, I could be wrong.
Okkaayyy...... It is back. This is very strange.
